about

“Experiences may be so tiny, so without scale or proportion that they would not exist without a fringe which flits like the blue-gray wing of a moth.”

Michael McClure, Mephistos & Other Poems

what.

Little Oracles is a podcast, blog, and Instagram feed (@littleoracles) that digs into cross-genre creativity. It’s the home of the Little Oracles Asynchronous Book Club (or ABC, for short). Find every episode of the podcast wherever you listen, and in our archive.

why.

Little Oracles was created in 2019 as an experiment in poetic fragments and lexical fractals as modes to explore the lyrical breadth of workaday words.

It was expanded to include imagery (physical and digital) and sound in 2022 for Orcas Paley’s Group Show, Daydream Doodle, and you can browse the full exhibit (and use it to spark your own creative projects, if you like). Its latest evolution is here.

when.

Until I flame out.

who.

Little Oracles was created by Allison Arth {she / they}, a Seattle-based creative, specializing in poetry, music, food- & fiber-craft, and solo & collective storytelling through poetry-based roleplaying games.
